About
The ISG Collective is a set of independent practices spanning research, strategic advisory, philanthropic capital, and collective impact; each distinct in focus, yet aligned by a shared commitment to evidence, discretion, and long-term impact.
We partner with philanthropic investors, capital leaders, and institutions navigating complexity, where investment decisions, strategy, and capital deployment demand deep expertise and sound judgment. Our work is often private and confidential, grounded in trust with clients who value rigorous insight, discretion, and long-term philanthropic value over short-term outcomes.
Our Point of View
We believe effective philanthropy and social change are grounded in rigorous research & insight and disciplined capital stewardship. The most meaningful progress occurs when decisions are informed by a clear understanding of how people and systems function, and when capital is deployed intentionally over time to test, refine, and scale what works.
In practice, advancing social change often means making decisions before outcomes are fully known and before established models exist. Work must move forward amid uncertainty. In those moments, rigorous insight and philanthropic capital need to operate together informing and reinforcing one another while remaining distinct in their roles and disciplines: insight to deepen understanding and guide direction, and capital to enable action, experimentation, and sustained commitment.
Rigorous social and public insight helps clarify how people think, behave, and respond to change. Philanthropic capital, when deployed intentionally, can absorb risk, support early-stage efforts, and create the conditions for learning and durable value where markets and institutions alone are insufficient.
The ISG Collective is organized around this belief.
How We Are Organized
The ISG Collective serves as an organizing entity for a set of independent practices operating across research, strategy, philanthropic capital, and collective impact. What unites the ISG Collective is a shared commitment to:
Advancing rigorous social and public insight
Informing decision-making through independent evidence
Using philanthropic capital as a form of risk capital
designed to support learning, experimentation, and long-term social value.
Our Practices
Research
Generates independent social and public insight through rigorous qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research. The focus is on understanding public attitudes, trust, risk perception, and behavior without prescribing strategy or outcomes.
Strategy Group
Applies insight to philanthropic and institutional decision-making. ISG Strategy works with leaders, boards, and funders to clarify complexity, assess tradeoffs, and shape strategic direction informed by evidence and context.
Capital
Designs and deploys capital approaches that align philanthropic, catalytic, and mission-oriented investment. The focus is on structuring capital intentionally to support long-term social value, enable learning, and build resilience in complex systems.
Collective Impact Fund
Brings together philanthropic risk capital from high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions to support early-stage, catalytic investments focused on learning, experimentation, and durable systems change.
Orizzonte
Reflects the long-term capital philosophy of the ISG Collective. Orizzonte aligns philanthropic and mission-oriented capital with rigorous, research-driven insight and disciplined capital structuring. The focus is on supporting philanthropic infrastructure, capacity-building, and catalytic initiatives designed to generate durable social value over time for families, institutions and high net worth individuals.
How We Work
The ISG Collective works selectively and often behind the scenes. We partner with clients who value trust, discretion, and intellectual rigour and who recognize that durable social change requires patience, evidence, and a willingness to invest ahead of certainty.
Philanthropic capital is deployed with clear intent, defined learning objectives, and an emphasis on long-term social value rather than short-term outputs. Our role is often upstream, supporting the early and less visible stages of change where insight must guide action and where philanthropic capital must move ahead of established models or guaranteed outcomes.
